| So I did more research and both Sprint and Verizon are both expecting it (new BB) "soon". It may even be re-named a Bold something or other by the time it's released. It is an update from the original Tour with a trackpad (not the "nasty" ball), a faster processor, OS 5.0 and WiFi. Also Verizon said they are going to the 4G network this year and by 2013 will have the biggest 4G in the nation. Which of course makes me hesitate about going with AT&T. They are currently on the 3G or 3Gs (depending on the phone) and going to 4G soon also, but still. And then of course, by the time the new BB is released, iphone should be expecting an update. God I hate making decisions like this! So at this rate I will be stuck with my old-school flip phone with its NON-qwerty keyboard forever and ever. It's probably gonna boil down to do I want TONS and TONS of apps, most of which I probably won't ever use but would be fun to have? That would be the iphone. But you STILL cannot get insurance on the iphone. Or do I want to have a really great BB that has better camera features and some other really cool features and stick with Verizon? And I still can't decide between the touch-screen and the hard keyboard. Both are going to be a HUGE switch for me, coming from the non-qwerty keyboard. Man, I bet you guys are glad you don't have to ask me which movie I want to go see! P.S. - and they still call these things "phones" haha!!! That is probably the least used feature on these devices now! P.P.S. - forgot to add, iphone has a really cool search feature that you can use to search your text messages, email, apps, everything. I am LOVING that! Ok, iphone it is! No wait, BB. No, no, no. ARRRGGGHHHHH!!! Last edited by wetnwild; 02-28-2010 at 08:58 PM. |

Yeh it's just $400, no big deal. And in our amazing economy, it shouldn't be a problem for anyone. It's not like we have to pay bills...

But the iphone is nowhere near $400 anymore. You can get them as cheap as $99 for the 3G or $199 for the 3GS with twice the gigs. Also, many companies, like the one I work for, offer really nice discounts too.

| well its expensive and you still need to pay the contract if you lose it.

But still, that's $100 or $200 that could be better spent on something else (Bills, food, insurance, etc.). I still don't see why a phone can't just be a phone...

that you mister fly are a braggart in a backhanded way. 400 bucks is a lot of cash to come up with at one time for most people regardless if it's for a phone or a trip to wherever you happen to want to go for your jet setting self. I have had insurance for 14 years on my cell phones and the cost of replacing all of the phones my daughter has lost or dropped on concrete or in toilets or wait one even died of alcohol poisoning would have put a serious dent in my single parent mortgage paying utility consuming bill paying self!
