Actually, I saw what the description for "chit chat" was and thought up a question that i've wondered about.


So, I thus asked said question. I wanted to know for future reference if the uniform actually makes a difference or not. If I were fishing for compliments, i'd have phrased it differently. Perhaps "does the uniform on me make a difference?" or perhaps "do I look good in my uniform?"


Does that answer your concerns that I would be fishing for compliments? Rather then post an accusation, could you consider actually answering the question?


I'd really like multiple answers, as I've wondered this since joining the Marines in 2001. Where else is better to ask?

I think women think differently about a man in uniform.(military, law enforcement, firefighters etc) Most of the women I know just love them. I know I always have.

When I see a man in uniform I think of him as someone strong and respectable because of the job that the uniforms represent.
I also see him as a protector...I know a lot of women will bash me for saying that, but I have always liked protective men. Some women still do.

it's been said once it's been said a thousand times... women love a man in a uniform and out of it too. Just thought it was a question that everyone already knows the answer to. Don't take it so defensively I meant it as a compliment.

True, it's always been said.. but you don't know it's true until you actually hear it from a lady. I've heard it, all the military guys have...usually from other military guys plotting their weekend in Vegas.
