Default Stop the insanity

I know this is really a thread for women only, but I can not be in the women's forum, nor do I want to. so I am asking the question here.

Why is it so hard for some of the women on this site to get along with each other?

There seems to be a gang mentality going on with some wanting to control others and some just wanting to comment. It has really made me think.
Are we we offended by the comment made or the person? I feel we read a comment from someone that we don't care for or that we have had a run in with in the past and we just go insane and say all kinds of horrible things to each other. We attack the person not the comment. The comment could have been posted by someone else and we wouldn't flare up. Is it not time to read the comment and politely post your opposing view and then go on, and I say this for EVERYONE, myself included. We are grown women for crying out loud, why are some of us acting like teenagers?

I would welcome and solutions on this that anyone has to offer, and please if you do not like me, let go of your personal feelings and answer in a constructive way

That's just it... just cause some people are older than others doesn't mean mentally they have grown up as well

Do guys argue like women do over being the most superior or the one with the most friends? etc. It just seems like a waste of time and effort to me.

Doesn't matter if you are male or female, there will ALWAYS be a few bad seeds in the apple tree. There will always be somebody trying to out-do other people just to make their ego swell up more than it already has, and god forbid they get proven wrong, the whole world would be in Armageddon.

On the internet it's even worse though cause now there's people that act like "trolls"... which are nothing more than people that purposely act immature or instigate an argument just to see everybody blow up and get ****ed off while they sit back and laugh away cause to them, it's all just a game. These are the same people that act totally different in public, but just cause it's the internet, they think it gives them the right to act all "anonymous" and do whatever the hell they want to.

if you REALLY wanna solve the problem, then the only way to do that is weed out all the bad roots so that the problems wont grow any bigger.

Oh don't worry thats how every forum goes, you've got the normal people, the quite people, trolls and ego maniacs, the +1's and the mentally handicapped soldiers..and don't forget the all to popular green horn mode.

best bet is to try and just say things to +2 the +1'ers, deploy chafes on the trolls and try and bring the ego heads off there pedestals...maybe crack a few jokes along the way.

If you've seen any of my posts you'll probably realize i'm here to crack jokes and have fun...maybe make a couple people lolz along the way.

I think the arguments are effecting newer members as personally, I dont want to upset, offend anyone or to take sides. I'm happy to offer my personal opinions; whether you agree or disagree, but I'm also afraid this could be seen as taking sides or stepping on someone elses toes...so to speak. If theres too much disagreement in a forum, it spoils the topic for the original writer and the regular contributors.

I dont know anyone personally yet and I would not intentionally offend any other cougar as we should respect one anothers space and opinions and be here to support our "sisters".

It does happen on every forum, but - although I've only just arrived - I've already noticed it happens a LOT on here. Just browsing around the different boards I can see there is just this real *****y intensity in a lot of the discussions, and some people just seem to have it in for others. Personally, as a new member, it kind of puts me off wanting to come back very much. I'm hanging in and giving it a shot, but I don't know how long for.

If people can't show a certain level of maturity on a site dedicated to the discussion and exploration of relationships, how do you hope to attract and keep members?

I don't mean to put the entire forum down. I've not had any run-ins yet myself, I'm just commenting on what I've observed within the five minutes I've been here. Take it for what it's worth.
