mr_izmir, it's not from jealousy: of course she's very attractive - she's a walking monument to plastic surgery! This is why I object to Demi Moore (and famous others) as being considered "magnificent" over-40s. The implication is that a woman's gotta be *something she's really not* to be considered beautiful - how effed up is that?

Of course I'm not interested in dating mature women, but *my* vote for beauties would go to women who've chosen NOT to look like old Barbies, but rather great versions of their actual ages : Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Julie Christie, there are others but it's late and I'm sleepy, goodnight

Default I

have to agree with Luna here those women have enough money to redo their entire bodies and have done quite a bit especially Demi. Meg Ryan has had so much collagen injected into her lips she looks grotesque. I think Meryl Streep is abso****inglutly gorgeous and always will be no matter how old she gets. I am not against plastic surgery at all but IMHO you can not call someone "fantastic for their age" when they have spent tens of thousands of dollars getting that way and it isn't truly what they would look like.

Right: a judicious "touch up" here and there is fine, but "you can not call someone 'fantastic for their age' when they have spent tens of thousands of dollars getting that way and it isn't truly what they would look like"

There is a big difference between makeup and going under the knife (or injections). Just my 2 cents.

Oh dear, I think you have missed the point mr_izmir

What this site has is real women, not enhanced artificially or plastically, and know themselves to be beautiful, despite all the myths and nonsense about older women. Women of all ages can feel pressured to look like the "ideal woman" who is forever young.

But we know that that is an impossible and undesirable concept and this site is one step to showing that many want it that way. The numerous men here shows that older women are not the only ones to think we're desirable.

I look in the mirror and I think I look hotter and hotter every day (Huge weight loss but also something incredibly sexy about me, I think it's my age). It's great for older women to feel good about their natural, un-enhanced self in the face of all the **** about them.

And hey no, FYI, not all women use "chemistry of some kind". I am completely natural. I don't dye my hair, I don't shave and I don't wear makeup. To accuse the women here of "jealousy" when they embrace naturalness is to completely misunderstand the true beauty of older women.

I was also going to do a thread about the word "cougar" but I think I'll do my own rather than continue this one because I'm on a completely different track to you.
