UK Radio Four dramatised the above novel. Intresting to note that society seemed to have difficultis with the concept of loving older women even back in Hardy's time. It should be avilable on line for anyone intrested in it. It is a moving tale and one that gives me hope for possible future relationships.

No,I have tried this and still can not make it work. Have you checked out the web page for it as it should be available as a listen again option. Well worth listening to as it is very moving.

I'll have to check it out. Went out on a date tonight and didn't get back in til 1:45am. (booyah)

There is a awsome show on Fractal Geometry in the series NOVA. the episode is brand new.

Explains a **** load about rasters and how they overcame the space static that stopped long distance data transfers for the longest.


You know there is a 1,200 foot Fractal Antenna in your cell phone. And its 1"x1"x1/64th in size.

It's geometric shape also allows it to intercept multiple types of freqencies and data at the same time (ex. Internet,bluetooth,Wi-fi and GPS)

If it wasn't for fractal geomeotry and the M-set we would need multiple (and extremely large) antennas sticking out of our cellphones still (think the 1980's brick phone antenna, but like 5 or 6 of them)


Some land lord Bitc#ing at a HAM radio user made him come up with the idea for a fractal anteanna. The land lord was ****ed about him trying to mount rather large antennas off the side of a high rise apartment building.

He came out with a 10 by 10 inch antenna that blew even the largest convential antennas away.


He is also filthy rich now btw.

Twigs, I don't know if any of your comments were directed towards mine - I wasn't directing anything towards yours, in any case.

When I cited Tarni's "she wants her claws in you", I replied, "Sounds like she wants a serious long-term relationship, which many women on this site also claim to want", because I found her comment to be a common example of women being suspicious and critical of other women, who simply might just want more or less what 90% of women (here, there, everywhere) say they want, as well!

I want to make it absolutely clear that this is nothing personal towards Tarni - believe me, if it was just one woman in the world thinking this way, it would be rare, unusual and unworthy of comment - but of course it's not. Tarni's remark just opened the opportunity to indirectly (now directly) raise this fascinating question:

Why do women always want to believe the worst about other women?

It happens ALL the time (which was my whole point about the comment): "real life" or Internet, it makes no difference.
