| Intel i7 965 Extreme Edition @ 4.7Ghz (Quad Core) 8192MB DDR2-2000 (system Ram) Dual EVGA GTX295 1792MB/ 480 cores http://i28.tinypic.com/9fz9xx.jpg Yea folks that a Condensor unit. http://i29.tinypic.com/33e3gwj.jpg http://i28.tinypic.com/2dcc281.jpg It's all about to be pulled back apart and turned into my normal everyday computer, just wanted to get back on top in the top 200 for 3dmark vantage. #1 in my state though. (personal nerd woo!) The old cheesy monitor is there in case everything burns up. Be a shame to burn up one of my flat panels along with a video card. so i use the junkeist monitor i have when doing that sort of stuff. Don't ask how much it cost. if theres any gamers out there it gets 112fps on crysis at ultra settings. 1920x1200 16xCQAA 16xQtSAFF, 225fps on Street Fighter 4 same settings. Lol I had one not to long ago. But i've got my kid to keep me company at this point. So finding a gal isn't really a high priority. This stuff keeps me entertained. By all means this isn't my only hobby. probably my biggest hobby is my flippin house. to give you a idea of what i mean This was my house in 2008 http://i26.tinypic.com/seocr9.jpg This was my house in 2004 when i bought it. http://i25.tinypic.com/1s1lxz.jpg Quite a difference. Right now im working on the backyard. I had to torch all the metal poles down since they were concreted in (random poles all over the place) and pull up the concrete during the wet season. So there is a giant ass pile of debris sitting in the corner of my yard at the moment. But i took down the old beat up shed, laid down a stone walkway around the side, caged in the A/C unit(*******s steal copper here, but mine is all aluminum mwuahahaha) re leveled the house, sealed the basement and re-did the top layer on the deck and replaced all the lattace around the sides. Made a raised flower bed (with no flowers currently) out of some more stone just for ****s and giggles. But the main focus is the 125 year old Black walnut tree in the backyard. Think the circumference is a good 10 feet around. It's take at least two of me to bear hug it. But i guess having a tree of that size in the backyard raises the value so i've been keeping it healthy. I bought the house in 2004 for 17,500$ (just paid the unpaid taxes and bought it from the sheriffs department) I had a appraiser come out this spring. And i guess its current market value is 187,000~$ Now i might add. all new drywall. R-30 insulation in the roof R-20 in the walls, 3M proly spray in the basement, Double pane, double hung vinyl low-e windows upstairs, New (expensive rod iron) fixtures complete with chandeliers in the living room, stairs to the 2nd floor, and the 2nd dining room. (i have two) Antique Cast iron bathtub (with the lil lion feet) in the primary bathroom, along with Kohler Faucets and American Standard Toliets, The whole house is wired for ethernet (cat6), i put in a 8 zone (one for each room) control unit for the HVAC, Energy star 2.0 "Green" HVAC unit, All romex electrical lines with double grounding and a 200A main. sub boxes on the 2nd floor, 220v lines ran upstairs (i run my electronics on 220v at half the cost of 110v) "On demand" water heaters in all the wet areas so there isn't a Central Water heater at all (saves almost 150$ a month on electricity) A complete wash and laundry room in the basement complete with a true leveled base for the washing and drying units. with a custom made fitting box, Brand new floors with Dupont Stain master carpet, and imported tile in the kitchen,Real granite counter top (not a solid piece as it wouldnt fit through any of the doors) Micheal and Jean something cabinets, but they are the dark finished walnut with semi opaque glass windows (installed CCFL lighting so at night you can see all the stuff in the cabinets, looks cool) Electrical outlets at every opportunity in the kitchen and living rooms. Hard wood floors in all the bedrooms (real hardwood not that laminated faux **** they sell at home depot) I could go on and on and on with all the **** i've done so far. Next year i'm replacing all the siding on the house with vinyl siding and installing Low-E windows on the 1st floor on the East,South,West sides. I'll keep clear on the north face since it never gets any sun in the first place. The roof also goes next year (maybe) but i'm not being a pussy about it and throwing another layer over the old shingles like most ass hats would do me. I'm going to take it back to the frame and re lay some OSB (dual layer if my roof will support it) and then re tar and shingle the bastage. Lol Craftsman house it shall be. See having a woman around would just complicated my primary misson of building up a good amount of wealth. Truth be told i could really care less about getting into a relationship of any type at all. | lmao im trying. hopefully at the end of this decade (thinking 2020), as "depressions" seem to last about a decade. I'll slang this house off for a Serious profit. I'm in the position right now to purchase more houses and turn them around. But that sounds like too high of a risk for what the market currently looks like. I could sit on them or rent them out. but the property taxes i think would eat more then i'd actually make off of them again with the current market. Lol making money is easy, Not sure why some people have a hard time doing it. Guess they spend what they make + some... which seems to get them screwed over in the end, instead of just living without until you can actually afford something. Mehbe i'm just old fashioned see you whipper snappers later *uses walker w/ tennis balls* |

am awful about money. Never had a lick of sense what to do with it or how to earn it. Never had a real job if you know what I mean until I got out of college,. I didn't go to college until I was 32 before that I traveled around the USA and partied just living life. I got married, got pregnant on my honeymoon and my husband died five years later leaving me a widow without an income and still in school with only a social security check to live on. Raising a child on your own is hard and a lot of people put their life on hold while their children are growing up. After another abandonment issue I stopped dating for ten years yep, ten years. Almost my entire 40's which in hindsight was not a good move so, don't totally neglect your social life it might make you a little weird you know kind of like me. ![]() oh and btw awesome job on the house I can't even hang a curtain rod right and that's with a laser level, a drill and me hyperventilating. |

Heh I've never set a foot inside a "insitution". Never saw the point in spending 80,000$ to get ready for a 350$ test that i already knew how to pass. so i just bought the vouchers and took my certification tests out right. So far i've got my A+,Network+,IBM PoS,Dell PoS,NCR NetBoS,Soft POS, Yum Foods Service Tech Lvl 1,2,3 (about to get the 4th and final) if you don't know what PoS is. its not piece of S@#$... Point Of Sales. All i do is fix cash registers thermal printers and stuff like those self check out centers and mall kiosks. I actually do all the check in kiosks at will rogers airport. (lol man they hate my tool bag) I was going to be like every other dumb ass and focus in on consumer based PC's and programming. glad i didn't ass all those jobs went over to india as im sure any programmer can tell you. No matter how much Hijad would like to repair your register over the phone from 15,000 miles away in india. You have to call me if you want a physical repair for your machine. which works out brilliantly. I'm always on call. but i never field calls, I don't have to talk to customers, All I deal with is managers and big wigs. and repairs are always pretty simple. Alot of technitions will sit at a restaraunt and try and repair the unit on site. People around here love me because i'll go out and get a fresh piece of hardware and intergrate that then take the broken hardware back to my house and fix it then return it at a later date and exchange it back out. That gives them maximum up time and a quick recovery so they dont loose those daily sales. On top of that it's cheaper for the company because they don't have to pay them to have me out there for 6 hours harassing there set ups. So i get alot of business. for a period of time i worked exclusively for Dell, But dell didn't treat me right, they consistantly tried to swindle me out of over time and there " code of ethics" was a complete crock of ****. Even though they paid boo-coos amount of money for me at the time. after i've been with YUM foods (KFC,long john silvers, pizza hut, taco bell,A&W roots, jack in the box) for 5 years. i'm making almost double what dell paid me. 47,000$ a year after taxes ain't to bad for someone who has a G.E.D. Heh i constantly rass my buddys friends ass that he spent 5 years in a university, spent a quarter million dollars to be a lawyer and wound up working at the F.A.A for 10.75 an hour. oh he gets ****ed everytime i break out my wallet and ask where his is at. I don't know. I guess there are two main types of people when people go looking for a education. There are the people who go for the jobs that would in "theory" make the most cash and have the best lifestyle and respect. Then there are the people who understand while a specific line of work may not start out with a fat pay check (i started at my company earning mimimum wage 5.15$ an hour) but if you actually take your time and excell in your field...you'll end up doing ok for yourself. And im almost 100% postive, If people didn't try and spend what they don't make (ex buying a BMW when your in your 20's, or putting a 7,800$ television on credit) and instead saved up for what they wanted, america wouldn't be in this cluster f$% it currently resides in. I'm lol'n hard at the people getting kicked out of there house by the bank. wtf did you think was going to happen?!! I also dont really spend money on BS. like expensive clothes or designer shoes or that sort of ****. I'll spend 400$ on a R/C car or a video card. But thats my entertainment. and that 400$ in fun tends to last two or three years before i run it into the ground. But i guess at the same time i try and be nice and follow a good set of ethics. All my bad ass computer parts i hand down to other people i know that would love to have them. yesterday i took a 24" LCD (like a 2002 LG) over to my buddies house and hooked his grandma up with it. She'd been using a 15" glass screen that looked all fuzzy. i knew it had to be a pain in the ass for her to read the words on that small of a screen. shes like 85 or something. But she seems pretty appreciative. Man those words are extremely clear and big. but she kept complaining about headaches after using the computer so i guess thats what gave me the idea, i had it in the bedroom as my TV. but i hardly ever sleep in my bed since i can't hear my kiddo in the morning at the gate and baby monitors don't seem to work on me. So i gave that to her for free. I guess if i see something i have and i'm not really having any fun with it. and i see someone that could really have fun with it, use it and appreciate it more then i have, i just hand it out. for the longest when i was still going to church. I'd take all the Re-praps (old computers that we took back from places and gave them new(er) computers) re-furbish them install windows then donate them to the local schools and churches for them to use. it was pretty successful. but i stopped going to church and all that so now those stacks just get sent over to india for there tech centers to use. (lmao if your talking to a indian tech center chances are they are using a computer we built) Anyways enough of the massive wall of text. I wont be offended if you just take cliff notes off of that book for responses lol. Laters Last edited by twigs1984; 08-25-2009 at 03:00 PM. |
