Internet relationships can work...I myself have had two relationships with guys I met on the net (not this site) and both ended because of issues that could and would have arisen had I met them elsewhere! one lasted a year and the other 8 months I ended both and I'm still great friends with both of them. So I believe it absolutely can work Val....and I wish you every happiness
