I expect that in many many "relationships" it is not unusual for sexual relationships to be as result of misleading information supplied by someone

I'm wealthy
I'm healthy
I'm a protestant etc etc

and maybe most of all "I love you"

One used to be able to sue for "breach of promise" - perhaps the law will move back that way one day for other lies told too!
