I think it's like "real life", it takes time. It sounds like you're off to a good start. Get involved here. Read what people are saying. Contact ladies that look interesting/share common interests, etc. Another of our /many/ charms is a cougar's conversational skills - she'll help, just be yourself.

I would not let geography be the /only/ consideration, either. Admittedly, distance relationships are difficult. I know from experience. But, you wouldn't want to overlook someone /really/ great because of their zip/country code. Right?
