Flymaster, how can you possibly say how much the above scenario should cost?? There are SO many variations in restaurants and SO many variations depending on the area one lives in also! In my city alone you could pay anywhere from $45 for a decent dinner for two to well over $300 I'm sure (if you ordered a bottle of wine). There are literally HUNDREDS of restaurants just in my city alone. I have no idea what the US price is that you quoted there but what may not break YOUR bank COULD break someone elses! And who said anything about a Cobb salad? We both ordered reasonably priced fish entrees.

And yes, maybe dinner isn't the best choice on a first date but that is what my date insisted on. The thread isn't about where to go or not to go on a date, but just simply asking who should pay in the case of the man asking the woman out.

I have asked 2 cub friends of mine this same question now. One said he ALWAYS pays, whether its the first date or the hundredth. The other said he finds it sexy when the woman offers to pay but that doesn't mean he would let her.
