I do agree with those who say to keep the compliments believable, 'cause most of us can spot (and don't appreciate) phony lines. But the 25 year old thing can work if you do it right . . . I was talking with a young man at a blues dance last week. He asked how long I had lived in this area, and I said about 26 years (I'm 56). With a completely straight face he instantly replied, "Oh, your whole life, then." I was taken aback for about 3 seconds, then burst out laughing. Of course, the real key is that he laughed with me, and didn't make any other ridiculous statements. Oh, and the sensual dancing didn't hurt, either.

Can't wait to get to that dance this week and see if he was really interested.
